Winning return in the Clio Cup
Jonathan made a sensational one-off guest appearance in the Clio Cup in the Renault World Series at Silverstone, he showed his class by winning the first race and coming a close second to current championship leader Ben Winrow in the second race.

Podium finish at Croft
Jonathan finished in third place in the only race to take at Croft. Due to the heavy rainfall during the day the second race was cancelled, which was disappointing for Jonathan as he had qualified on pole for the second race, however, the qualifying results will stand when the race is rerun later in the year.

Double victory at Thruxton
Jonathan kicked started his season with a double victory at Thruxton. Having started on pole, Jonathan managed to fend of a determined start from Daniel Welch, to lead from start to finish in the first race. Despite starting from fourth on the grid, Jonathan managed to take the lead through the first complex and never looked back to win comfortably in the second race.

Bad weekend for Jonathan at Donington
Hoping to kick start his season, Jonathan was disappointed with his weekend at Donington, having struggled with his car all weekend, he could only manage a lowly 7th place finish in the first race, in the second race he was again struggling and had a coming together with another car which resulted in Jonathan ending up in the gravel ending his race prematurely. The team are going to strip down the car to investigate what the problem was.

BRDC Superstars
Jonathan is delighted to be chosen to participate in the BRDC Superstars scheme, the aim of the scheme is to develop the cream of young British talent. The 12 drivers chosen will be directed by BRDC member and former British Touring Car champion, Tim Harvey.

2008 Seat Cupra Championship
Jonathan has managed to finalise his funding to enable him to defend his title in the 2008 Seat Cupra Championship.

Jonathan crowned champion at Thruxton
In the final meeting at Thruxton Jonathan was officially crowned 2007 Blaupunkt SEAT Cupra Champion. Despite having set-up problems over the weekend, Jonathan managed 2 more podiums, taking his total podiums to 17 from a possible 20 proving just why he is a worthy champion for 2007.

Jonathan clinches Seat Cupra Championship at Knockhill
Knockhill provided the perfect venue for Jonathan to clinch the Seat Cupra Championship, and he didn't let down his family and many fans with an impressive win in the first race to clinch the championship. In the second race Jonathan was demoted to third on the grid after a speeding infringement in qualifying, on the first lap Jonathan managed to take second place from Whyte and soon caught leader Breeze, however, despite constantly pressuring the leader he was unable to get past and had to settle for second place and another podium finish.

Mixed weekend for Jonathan at Brands
Jonathan missed out on clinching the Seat Cupra Championship at Brands, however, he can now clinch the championship at his home track, Knockhill. In the first race, a coming together with Gareth Nixon at the first corner resulted in Jonathan ending up in the gravel resulting in his first non-finish of the season. In the second race, having suffered damage to his car in the incident in the first race, Jonathan did well to finish second behind teammate Fulvio Mussi.

Jonathan continues relentless march towards title
Jonathan continued his relentless march towards the Seat Cupra Championship title with his 8th race win of the season at Snetterton. However, he was denied another win by a highly controversial decision in the 2nd race when he was deemed to have overtaken pole sitter Carl Breeze before the start line on the rolling start, and was called in for a drive through penalty. Despite this setback Jonathan has extended his lead in the championship to 78.5 points.

Seventh win of the season at Donington
Jonanathan mastered the torrential rain to achieve a first and second at Donington. Starting from pole position in the first race Jonathan managed to miss all the mayhem to win by an impressive 14 seconds. In the second race, Jonathan settled for 2nd behind Tom Boardman, a result which extends his lead in the championship over his nearest rivals.

Jonathan overcomes weather difficulties at Oulton Park
Jonathan further extended his lead in the Seat Cupra Championship with a win and 4th place in the two rounds at Oulton Park. After a difficult first qualifying session where Jonathan qualified down the field in ninth having been caught out by the weather, he kept his nerve to fight his way up to a creditable fourth in the first race. In the second race, Jonathan started on pole and lead from start to finish to build on his championship lead.

Jonathan wins fifth race of the season at Croft
Jonathan's fine start to the season saw him achieve his eighth podium from 8 races, and winning his 5th race after finishing 2nd in the first race to extend his championship lead to an impressive 51 points.

Two wins for Jonathan at Thruxton
A flawless display at Thruxton saw Jonathan win the latest rounds in the Seat Cupra Championship. Having led from start to finish in both races Jonathan was never seriously challenged and takes a commanding lead into the next rounds at Croft in June.

Jonathan extends lead in championship after Rockingham
Jonathan continued his impressive start to the season, with a win and a 3rd place to extend his lead in the championship.

Impressive start to new championship campaign
Jonathan impressed in the first two rounds of the 2007 Blaupunkt Seat Cupra Championship at Brand Hands, after finishing a close 2nd in the first race, he was in a class of his own in the second winning by nearly 9 seconds, having also claimed fastest laps in the two races he has jumped into an early lead in the championship.

Jonathan confirms entry for 2007 Seat Cupra Championship
Having successfully secured funding for the 2007 Seat Cupra Championship and has set his goal of winning the championship this year after finishing an impressive third in his first year in the championship. Jonathan will again be racing with Total Control Racing. Seat Touring Car test for Jonathan
Jonathan tested SEAT Sport UK’s BTCC winning Leon, as part of his prize for finishing third in 2006 Blaupunkt SEAT Cupra Championship. As well as driving the car, which included a simulated race distance stint, he had full access to team management, race engineers, data loggers, technicians, PR and Jason Plato.

Jonathan fails narrowly to claim second place in championship
Despite spinning out of the first race and as a result, not being able to clinch second, Jonathan was pleased with third and the £30,000 that goes with it. “The spin this morning was very frustrating, as it cost me second in the championship. But the second race was excellent; clean and very quick – just how it should be. But overall I’m happy – at the start of the season, I said I wanted to finish in the top three and I’ve done that. I’ve also claimed one of the touring car test slots and that was one of the main motivating factors for me.

Two second places at Brands Hatch
Two second places at Brands Hatch has guaranteed Jonathan at least third place in the championship, Jonathan is eager to make up the seven points needed to overtake Alan Blencowe for second place in the championship in the final two rounds at Silverstone on October 15th. Jonathan has already guaranteed himself a test in the SEAT touring car in November.

Excellent home win for Jonathan at Knockhill
Jonathan enjoyed an impressive home win at Knockhill, after gaining the lead on the first lap, he extended his lead throughout the race to finish well clear of the rest of the field. In the second race Jonathan looked good for a podium finish until his gearbox failed leaving him without 3rd gear whilst pressurising his teammate Jonathan Fildes for third place, so he had to settle for fourth place.

Jonathan moves back into 3rd place in Championship
Jonathan earned an excellent podium finish in the first race at Snetterton, in extremely difficult conditions. A fourth place finish in the second race enabled Jonathan to move up to 3rd place in the championship.

Disappointing weekend at Donington
Jonathan's weekend was hampered by an incident with another driver in the first qualifying at Donington. He started from 8th on the grid in the first race and because his car was badly damaged in first qualifying he was unable to post a time in the second qualifying session so he had so start from the back of the grid in the second race. Jonathan did well to finish 5th in the first race and 7th in the second race, however, his main rival Jackson won both races to increase his lead over Jonathan in the championship.

Podium finish at Croft
Jonathan moved into joint second place after the latest two rounds at Croft, however, his main rival Mat Jackson opened up the gap at the top of the championship.

Two second places at Thruxton
Jonathan closed the gap on championship leader Mat Jackson with two good results at Thruxton. Although Jonathan won the first race at Thruxton he was relegated to 2nd place as a result of passing under a yellow flag, although disappointed he was pleased with his points haul over the weekend.

First win of the season for Jonathan
After the disappointment of the opening rounds at Brands, Jonathan bounced back with an impressive win from pole position in the second race at Oulton Park, having finished an excellent third in the first race.

Mixed weekend for Jonathan at Brands
After an impressive qualifying session for both races Jonathan was disappointed with his points haul from the first rounds at Brands. Although finishing a creditable 7th in his first race after starting 3rd on the grid. However, in the 2nd race, despite qualifying on the front row, he found himself in last place in the early laps having been spun off the track, he managed to fight his way back to finish 15th.

Jonathan has teamed up with Total Control Racing to contest the 2006 Seat Cupra Championship.

Magny-Cours lap record for Jonathan
Reigning ELF Renault Clio Cup Champion Jonathan Adam (Kirkcaldy) showed his class by beating two of his contemporaries in a Mégane Trophy test at Magny-Cours on Monday, February 27th. The test was part of Jonathan’s prize for winning the title last season, giving him the chance to compete against the winners of the Swiss and Spanish Championships.
In a car provided by Renaultsport, and operated by Eurocup Mégane Trophy team Energy Racing under Team Owner Georges Kaczka, Jonathan was first on track at the 4.4km circuit, which hosts the French Formula One Grand Prix.
After a de-brief with Energy Racing engineer Fred Galizzi, Adam was back on track in optimum conditions at 12.15pm. With a fresh set of tyres, Jonathan smashed through the 1min 50 barrier to set a time of 1min 48.990, with a top speed approaching 135mph. As in the first session, the pace proved too hot for his continental rivals who could not reduce their respective deficits.
